Persija requires players to send training videos during the Emergency PPKM holiday

Jakarta (medialnews) — Persija’s coaching team is demanding that players routinely send videos of independent training while on vacation during the implementation of the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in Java and Bali.
“This is so that we can continue to monitor their physical development,” Persija’s physical trainer, Ilham Ralibi, was quoted as saying on the Persija website in Jakarta on Thursday.
Persija himself gives several individual training programs to Riko Simanjuntak and his friends so that their physical condition stays in shape when they get back together.
As in the first free week, the players of the ‘Tiger Kemayoran’ team were instructed to do simple circuit exercises.
This circuit training is a combined sport activity to maintain different aspects of the body, such as fitness, strength and endurance.
Then Persija players get a different training menu in the second week.
“Physical conditions that are reduced by not exercising for a long time should be avoided,” Ilham says.

Meanwhile, with regard to the players’ physical condition, Ilham said their quality would be 75–80 percent until the team was shut down from July 5, 2021.
“We believe the players will undergo good independent training and will stay fit when training resumes,” he said.
Persija Jakarta has fired the team as long as the Emergency Community Activity Restriction (PPKM) policy from July 3–20, 2021 is implemented in Java and Bali regions.
During the Emergency PPKM, the government did not allow activities that caused crowds, including sports, arts and social activities to quell the spread of COVID-19 cases.
